Businessman Lucky Loc has finally gained a respectable position in society. However, his winning streak comes to a sudden halt when he pays with "funny money" to an unsuspecting salesgirl, Quyen. Believing it to be his lucky charm, he's convinced giving away the bill caused his misfortune. At the same time, Quyen's fortune plummets and she blames the cursed "funny money" for it. Her childhood was spent bumping around in the back of an open truck between Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda while her parents studied elephant behaviour and then battled to save them from the illegal ivory trade.“ She met husband Frank Pope at a wedding in the UK and they eventually married and have three young daughters. “After a couple of years with both of them flying round the world to be with each other, Frank finally took the plunge and moved to Kenya where he now works as the chief operations officer for Save The Elephants.“

Willa's Wild Life is a French/Canadian/American animated television series that first aired on ABC2 in 2008, then on Qubo and Nickelodeon Canada in 2009. The show is based on Dan Yaccarino's book An Octopus Followed Me Home. It is about a 9 year old girl named Willa who has some very unusual pets. She has, so far, acquired a giraffe, two elephants, an alligator, and many more exotic animals.
